’Twas the night before #GivingTuesday

’Twas the night before #GivingTuesday, when all through the agency.
Many employees were stirring, they were checking results.
The donation pages were hung on the subdomains with care.
In hopes that lots of donors soon would be there.

The clients were nestled all snug in their beds.
While visions of large goals danced in their heads.

When out on the internet there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the laptop I flew like a flash,
Tore open the clamshell and cleared up my cache.

When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature campaign and eight lively campaign assets.
With a little old driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be marketing automation.
More rapid than drip campaign his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
“Now, Lightbox! now, Fly-In! Now, Hero and Takeover!
On, Social! On, Search! On, Display and CTV!
To the top of the search results! To the top of them all!
Now fire away! Fire away! Fire away all!”

So up to the search bar the coursers they flew.
With the sleigh full of conversions, and donors there too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the reports,
the prancing and pawing of each little gift.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the donation page donors came with a bound.

Their CTR—how it twinkled! Their conversion rate, how merry!
Their CPM were like roses, their heat-map like a cherry!

And I laughed when I saw them, in spite of myself.
A click of their finger and a completed info form.
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
They spoke not a word, but went straight to work,
And filled all the donation pages; then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of their trackpad,
And giving a click, up the confirmation page they rose;
They sprang to their browsers, to their fingers gave a wiggle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, ere they drove out of sight—

“Happy #GivingTuesday to all, and to all a good night!”
